Global Esquire Canada is a resource centre for Canadian students who are studying abroad and are obtaining an LLB/JD, LLM or MA Law degree from a top tier UK Law school.

Global Esquire Canada was founded in 2020.
Sara Bond is the Chief Consultant, Founder and Head Mentor of Global Esquire Canada (GEC).
Incoming and current law school students that identify as Black, Indigenous, People Of Colour that are pursuing law school or their Masters in the United Kingdom are eligible to be admitted into the program. If you do not identify as being BIPOC you are welcome to create a profile and follow our blog. 1:1 Mentoring will be coming in the near future and GEC capacity grows.

Global Esquire Canada will provide a maximum of 25 Black Indigenous and People of Colour aspiring young professionals per academic year.

Empowered by BlackNorth Initiative, and with partners such as SI-UK North America, Pearson, The Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, and the Toronto School of Management, NCA Prep Program students receive an unprecedented amount of support with their legal careers beginning at the stage of applications to law schools. You will also get access to paid internships at law firms or in house legal departments, and access to Scholarships. If you have decided to study law in the UK, you will also have the added benefit of meeting various Canadian lawyers while you study through out monthly Stand Out Speaker Sessions. So why not?!

There are no Global Esquire Canada fees related to the application process and participation of the Global Esquire Canada Mentorship Program.

Applicants are considered on a rolling basis.

The next deadline for the Global Esquire Canada Mentorship Program is March 31st 2023 for the September 2023-2024 school year. Final successful applicants will be announced Spring of 2023.

Students must get accepted into a UK University, and have received and accepted an offer to enter the Global Esquire Mentorship Program.
Global Esquire Canada is empowered by BlackNorth Initiative which is an organization that is committed to the removal of anti-Black systemic barriers that negatively affect the lives of Black Canadians. The BlackNorth Initiative is on a mission to end anti-Black systemic racism throughout all aspects of our lives by utilizing a business-first mindset. Global Esquire Canada has also partnered with the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, a national Not for Profit organization for Black Canadian lawyers.
